Auxillary Shelf Instructions
Both the first and second generation V-Strom Auxilary shelves mount using the
cable guide bolts. The cable guides are retained on the first generation
V-Stroms, and replaced by the shelf on the 2nd generation V-Stroms.
Turning the handlebar to the side and using a socket with a long extension is
helpful. On the 2012 and newer DL650, coming up from under the cowling may be the best approach.
