V-Strom Auxiliary Shelves

There is of course plenty of room for switches, lights, and other gizmos on the black horizontal part of the V-Strom fairing.  However, the handlebars and controls sometiimes block the view to theser areas.  More importantly, I wasn't comfortable reaching under the handlebars while riding to flip a grip heater switch or running power cables under the handlebars.  It just didn't seem safe as I turned my handlebars back and forth and made motorcycle noises in the garage.  It occured to me that the center of the handlebars didn't move very far when turning and there was a clear unobstructed path to my tank bag from the center of the handlebars.  Also, it was much easier to reach between the handlebars than to reach under them.  After many years of use (2005 to present) I am very happy with my little shelf.

Each shelf is built on a CNC mill from aircraft grade aluminum to the owners specifications.   Basic shelves are $50 and come with two free round holes of your choice.  

    Note:  You have to tell us what size free holes you want.  Include the information in the comments section of your order or send us a note using a contact form.

You can add a rectanguler hole for a meter or additional round holes for $5.00 each. 

The most common requests are for a blank shelf, a shelf with one or two sockets, switches, or combination of sockets and switches, sockets switches and a meter, and occasionally all that and more.  If you can define your shelf with the options below your good to go.  If not, it may be due more to our inability to define all options in a shopping cart than our ability to make the shelf.  Send me a note using the "Contact Us" tab, or call and we will see what can be done.
