DL800 Crash Bars
The crash bars comes with instructions as shown below, but after installing them I thought it might be useful to add some clarification.
I found it useful to arrange the parts on the page below on top of the actual paper instruction page. This is a big step toward making sense of the installation.

At this point I had to wonder if it was really necessary to remove all these body panels. It may be possible to install the bars by just loosening the panels, but if I were to do it again, I would still remove the panels.
Below shows the factory bolt removed for the new upper crash bar leg bolt
This is the location for the middle 12 mm bolt.
